angels & guides
Happy month of May, friends!
Some of you follow the angel card readings I post on Instagram or TikTok. I share a few each week, to remind you that your angels are watching and protecting you. Like many things in my life, this work kind of “picked me” rather than me choosing it; it started with an intuitive idea one day and took off, confirming for me that I should talk about how the Universe is working on our behalf, all the time.
What makes me such an expert on this? I’m not. I have simply made myself open to listening to the guidance I get, and in doing so, I’ve gotten a lot of direction. I’ve had my personal guardian angels “read” for me by an angel communicator /intuitive / medium, so I know their names and how they are supporting and guiding me. I meditate regularly and see clear visions of angels, figures and faces. I ask the Universe to bring me the information I need for both MY best and highest good, and for anyone else who is listening who needs a message for THEIR best and highest good. So here’s what I know from my own experiences and research.
Don’t think of them as “winged dudes” though…- they are in the form of balls of energy, light and orbs. They give us guidance not through hearing but through thoughts, like a knowing-ness of information we need, and in signs, symbols, repeating numbers, so-called coincidences & dreams.
When we invite them in, they will make their presence known. When you are ready, ask them to give you a sign through a symbol, song or something else meaningful to you to confirm for you that they hear you.
Think of your guides as a guest standing outside your front door. Until you invite them in they will politely and quietly wait. Open the door. Talk to them. When we invite our guides & angels in, we are opening the door to the universal power of love and harmony, helping us become aligned with it.
I know all of this sounds “out there” and I don’t talk about it much because I realize that. But I do want to share my own story of talking to an angel last week and the crazy experience I had. I was sitting outside looking at the full moon and the stars, and I asked my former husband who passed away in 2021 to help with something. I talked to him through whispered prayer the way you would ask a friend for help.
I came back inside and immediately one of my lights flickered off and on, for more than a full second. It’s literally never happened ever before, and it was long enough for my brain to register it so I wouldn’t think it was my imagination or just a power surge. All I could do was laugh and say, “well, I guess you heard me then”.
The very next morning I filmed the beautiful sunrise and clouds moving across the Scottsdale mountain landscape and “heard” that I should share the video with my social media followers along with the message that our angels are listening. Well THREE times I added that caption onto the video and tried to post it but each time, the text disappeared when I tapped “share”. (I’m not new to creating and uploading posts, so I know how to use this feature well.) Again, all I could do was laugh and say “alright then, I guess you’e telling me to leave the caption off the video and just post it below it - got it!”. I knew he was laughing his ass off watching me say again and again “what the hell?!” watching the font disappear every time.
I guess another good thing about our angel guides is that they can remind us to keep our sense of humor about life too. 😉 Remember to ask them for their help, and get ready for some magic to unfold.
