Solar Eclipse Season
On Monday, April 8, we will experience an eclipse of the Sun
The North Node and South Node are points in astrology that represent the crossing of the paths of the sun and moon. Astrologically, the nodes are a big key to understanding our soul’s purpose.
The South Node represents our past, our comfort zone, and the qualities, habits and gifts we have already mastered in past lives that we can share with the world now. It is associated with our karmic patterns (maybe some we are stuck in) and the challenges we need to overcome in order for our soul to grow and evolve.
The position of our South Node shows the energies of:
what you've come into this world already knowing
your greatest gifts you can share that you’ve brought along with you
your place of comfort, but also the place that can block your evolution if you become attached to its familiarity
We're coming from South and heading North, although the path is always full of twists and turns!
The North Node is associated with our future, growth, and the direction in which we are meant to move in this lifetime. It represents the lessons we are meant to learn now. Our North Node tells us where we are headed in our personal evolution. These energies are the key to understanding our life's purpose and karmic path.
Our job in this lifetime is to walk from South to North Node, leaving behind the known and mastering the unknown. This is where eclipses happen.
During this week’s lunar eclipse on Monday, April 8 is the perfect time to make steps on your North Node path. It’s a time to detach from the energies of your South Node while embracing the energies of your North Node. During eclipses, be open to the Universe revealing things to you that may help you shift your perspective and undo your attachments. Some of these revelations could be shocking, but they will soon help you transition to a new version of yourself. Spend time in meditation to process the whispers of your soul about the next steps you need to take. Be open to insights coming your way, letting intuition take the lead. Take care of your nervous system too through meditation, extra rest, and grounding time nature when you need it.
If you're not sure what your North Node and South Node placements are look below to see a North Node chart (once you know your North Node, you can Google search its corresponding South Node. Each North + South Node pair are always the same). After that, you can do an online search for articles and books that can give you detailed information about what the nodes mean for your particular karmic path once you know your nodes.
When your direction feels obscured, trust that there is work happening behind the scenes.
xo,
Karen
